Marilona Makeovers is available on-call and there is no required minimum or maximum amount of time you must book the Artist in order for the job to take place. In the interest of making sure you can be scheduled, please make an appointment with the Artist as soon as possible to insure availibilty. Marilona Makeovers often booked months in advance and will contract the first client willing to put down the required deposit to hold their makeover date and time. An Initial Trial Consultation is not a requirement; you can book your makeover without having an Initial Trial Consultation first. Please contact the Makeup Artist for more information.
During the Initial Trial Consultation, we will discuss the details of the event you are interested in having your makeup professionally applied for (whether it is a wedding, prom, photo shoot, etc.) and decide together what look you should chose depending on your outfit, style, and other variables. A professional, personalized full-face makeup application will then take place. The Initial Trial Consultation is completely optional.
On the day of the Initial Trial Consultation, or when you are ready to book Marilona Makeovers for a beautiful makeup application, to reserve the date and time of your event, a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of at least 50% of the total cost of the scheduled job is due as a down payment. Cash is preferred but checks are accepted. Clients who prefer to book Marilona Makeovers without an Initial Trial Consultation may make payment via Paypal or by mailing a money order to Marilona Makeovers. A Booking Agreement will be completed at the same time the down payment is made, and both the Client and Makeup Artist retain a copy. A reciept is given for all monetary transactons. A Booking Agreement and Deposit are required for all Bridal/Wedding Services. Please be advised that no date will be reserved until a signed Booking Agreeement and deposit have been made.
Before completion of the scheduled job the remaining balance is due in cash immediately; or, if the Client chooses to pay by credit card, the balance must be paid five (5) business days prior to day of the scheduled job to insure the charge has cleared. Credit card acceptability subject to charges and change.
Marilona Makeovers follows very strict sanitation and hygiene procedures and prides itself on cleanliness and the health of our clients and will not be held liable in the event of an allergic reaction. All cosmetics and products are used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and are hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic, and non-acnegenic. A list of product ingredients can be made available for the Client upon request. Makeup brushes are cleansed with professional brush cleaner between clients, eye and lip pencils are sanitized then sharpened, and only disposable mascara wands and lip brushes are used.
Makeup application must begin within fifteen (15) minutes of the agreed-upon start time or client might forfeit services. Please be aware that this could affect the completion of the job in full or can result in a late fee.
If for any reason the client must cancel the contracted event or any services under the signed Booking Agreement, a notice is due, in writting or by email, from the Client to Marilona Makeovers as soon as possible. The deposit paid will not be refunded and can not be put towards future services. In the unlikely and unheardof event that Marilona Makeovers were to cancel, written and verbal notices will be given as soon as possible by the Makeup Artist to the Client and 110% of the deposit paid will be refunded by check within two (2) weeks of written notice.
Marilona Makeovers offers on-location or in-studio makeup application for our Client's convienence. Day-of-Event services will be conducted at Client's location of choice. Initial Trial Consultations take place in-studio, unless otherwise requested by the client.
A travel fee will be incurred if a Client requests to be met on-location if the Makeup Artist's travel exceeds 20 miles from the starting point (Marilona Makeovers Home Office, Roanoke, Texas 76262.) After 20 miles, a charge of 0.75/per mile will be applied. The travel fee is only applied for travel “to makeover destination;” the client will not be charged a travel fee for miles traveled back to the Home Office. Travel fee is figured prior to consultation/job and is determined by mapquest.com. Travel fees will be applied to Trial Consultations, contracted jobs, and every time a client requests to meet with the Artist concerning a contracted job on-location. Applicable travel fees will be due during booking.
Gratuity is not included in the price of the makeover, but when offered, it is gratefully accepted.
Marilona Makeovers’ goal is to work with the client’s schedule and to be as flexible as possible, therefore, additional fees will not be charged for consultations or bookings on Sundays and most Federal and Commercial Holidays. Marilona Makeovers usually does not schedule consultations on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day. For Makeup Application Appointments scheduled on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, or New Year's Day, a nominal fee is added to the cost of the booking.
