Although not mandatory in order to book, it is highly recommended that the Bride schedule a one-on-one Initial Trial Consultation (ITC) with Marilona Makeovers before your wedding. During the Initial Trial Consultation we will discuss the details of your wedding and customize a bridal look that’s perfect for you. Start by browsing online, in books, and in magazines for general makeup looks you like. It can be eyes from one photo, lips from another, and even someone of a slightly different complexion. When we meet for our ITC, bring those images with you so that we both can evaluate your vision of how you want your makeup to look and customize it so that it’s just right for you. Once the makeover is complete, you will get a chance to view it in different lightings, try different lip color shades if you’d like, experience its wear-ability and feel, and see exactly just how much I will enhance your natural beauty for your wedding day! It is also suggested that you style your hair how you’ll have it/want it on your wedding day and wear a similar color to your wedding dress so that you’ll get a feel for the complete look! And don’t forget to have your eyebrows groomed as well! Initial Trial Consultations are generally no longer than an hour and a half.

When the Bride books Marilona Makeovers for the wedding date in question on the day of the Initial Trial Consultation, 50% of the Initial Trial Consultation fee will be deducted, making the ITC fee half off!   AND AS A “THANK YOU,” when the Bride decides to book me as her and at least three other adult person’s Makeup Artist on the day of our Initial Trial Consultation, the Bride’s Initial Trial Consultation will then be waived, making her Initial Trial Consultation… FREE!

Should any members of the bridal party wish to have an Initial Trial Consultation themselves, and if Marilona Makeovers is booked as their Makeup Artist for the wedding date in question on the day of the Initial Trial Consultation, half of the Initial Trial Consultation fee will be deducted, meaning she will get a beautiful, full face makeup application for 50% off as well!

In order to save on the Initial Trial Consultation fee and to officially reserve the date and time of you wedding day makeovers, non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of at least 50% of the total cost of the scheduled job is due as a down payment. Cash is preferred but checks are accepted. A receipt is always given for all monetary transactions and a Booking Agreement will be filled out acknowledging the date, time, location, services, and all monies put down and if there is a balance due. Both the client and Makeup Artist will retain a copy of the Booking Agreement. Brides are encouraged to pay in full so that they will not have to worry about monetary transactions on the wedding day itself, but should there be a remaining balance, it will be due before completion of the makeovers on the event day. Only cash or money orders are accepted to pay remaining balances, or if the Bride decides to pay by credit card, payment must be made five (5) days prior to the event day to insure the change has cleared. The bride must know how many people in her party want Marilona Makeovers to do their makeup on the wedding day as the whole party must be booked at once to secure their time.

Book your Makeup Artist as soon as possible. Although there is no required minimum or maximum amount of time you must book Marilona Makeovers in order for the job to take place, in the interest of making sure you can be scheduled, please make an appointment as soon as possible to insure availibilty. Marilona Makeovers often booked months in advance and will contract the first client willing to put down the required deposit to hold their makeover date and time. It's never to early to schedule an appointment or book your wedding day!

Marilona Makeovers offers on-location professional makeup artistry which means that I travel to meet you at your convenience on your special event day! Whether it is to your home or a hotel where you and your bridal party are getting ready, I go where you need me to go! Marilona Makeovers offers complementary travel for up to 20 miles from our Home Office. Trial Consultations take place at my Home Office/In-Home Studio (zip code 76262) where I have a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere for you to get your makeup done and several makeup references for you to look through. Friends and family are welcome too and can relax and watch TV or browse through magazines or simply watch you as you’re getting your makeover!

Marilona Makeovers uses 99% MAC Cosmetics – only the highest quality in professional makeup and makeover tools on our clients. Other high-end store brands, such as Temptu PRO, Makeup Forever Professional, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, Urban Decay Cosmetics, Tarte Cosmetics as well as L'Oreal Professional and others may be used depending on the client’s needs and the Artist’s recommendations. Marilona Makeovers uses professional quality brushes made of the finest material on the face, eyes, and lips for a blended, flawless application.

Your makeup application will include prepping the skin and priming the makeup to ensure it stays on for hours and hours looking the same way it did right after your makeover was completed! The makeup that Marilona Makeovers will apply is not only hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, but they also are long-wearing, water-ressistant, if not water-proof, formulas. Your eyes should last all day and night; however, you might have to "powder your nose" and face depending on how oily your skin naturally is and how shiny you become. You also might have to touch-up your lips as you eat, talk, kiss, and drink throughout your special event also. (As a free gift, a new tube of the long-wearing lip color and gloss will be given to the bride on the wedding day!) I would suggest to carry some pressed powder in the shade that is professionally recommended for you as well as your lip color for touch-ups; that is generally all you will need. Keep it in your little purse or even better in your spouse's coat pocket!

Marilona Makeovers is, however; available to stay for and in case of touch-ups for larger bridal parties of five or more people at an additional hourly fee if requested. 

Marilona Makeovers can accommodate up to 10 adults per Bridal Party with no additional costs or “assistant fees” as some other Makeup Artists might charge! If additional persons desire services, please discuss the details with the Makeup Artist.

Each full face makeup application for adult Bridal Attendants shouldn’t take any longer than about 25-30 minutes from start to finish; that includes prepping and priming the eyes and skin, as well as ensuring the makeup will last and look fresh all day and night! Junior Bridesmaids, Flower Girls, and Groom Touch-ups will take less time to complete. I would like to have at least 35-40 minutes blocked off with the bride if possible.

Marilona Makeovers only offers professional makeup artistry services. Although some other beauticians may claim to offer both makeup artistry and hair styling services, it is hard for one person to accurately and efficiently divide their time between both therefore less clients may be able to be accommodated. As well, their training might focus on one or the other - either hair or makeup - and therefore the makeup may not look as good as the hair will, or vice versa. It is best, especially in the case of larger bridal parties, to have a Professional Hair Stylist work on one's hair while your Makeup Artist works on another's makeup, then have the clients switch off. This will save time and sometimes even money. Marilona Makeovers in trained in providing a beautiful, timely makeup application and that is our sole focus. Should you not have a hair stylist and need recommendations, I'd be happy to refer you to the talented hair stylists that I have had the pleasure of working with in the past.

Having your makeup professionally done for your wedding is not only about how you’ll look and feel during your special day, but it is also about the experience and the memories you’ll have while doing so! I have come across very few bridal attendants, including bridesmaids, who choose not to have their makeup done because they simply don’t want to. If expenses are an issue, it’s my observation that the bride usually wants to lock in her and her bridal party’s makeovers as soon as possible therefore makes payment for them upfront, then later makes arrangements to get reimbursed from the bridal attendants their makeover costs, if it is not given to them as a gratuity or present. Marilona Makeovers requires a half down payment for all who are desiring makeovers on the wedding day be made all at once, which is usually on the day of the Initial Trial Consultation in order to have that fee waived. The deposit insures that all makeovers will take place and allows me to confirm and block off the amount of time needed to accommodate all on your wedding day. You’ll want everyone to look their best – it’s your wedding, your pictures, your memories!
